Age of Adult Criminal Responsibility in Texas Discussion

Requirements for DB: 

The Texas Criminal Justice System has many concerns, pick one (1, 2, or 3) of the issues below:

1. Should Texas raise the age of adulthood to 18 for criminal matters? Give BOTH sides of the argument – why it should be raised to 18 & why it should NOT be raised to 18.

2. Should we continue to use administrative segregation in Texas? Give BOTH sides of the argument – why we should continue it & why we should NOT continue using it.

3. Pick one of these death penalty cases & discuss it: Andres Thomas, Carlos DeLuna, or Karla Faye Tucker. 

1st: Decide which one of the above questions you’re going to research & write about. Make sure it’s easy for me to decipher which one you’re writing about.

2nd: Please use RESEARCH, STATS, FACTS, etc. in your writing as much as possible. DO NOT personalize – ONLY in your conclusion may you give some personal insight into the issue, but it should not be more a small paragraph (5 sentences or less).

3rd:  At the end of your DB give 2 questions you have that you’d like to see another student RESPOND to based on what you wrote in your DB. EVERY student MUST end their DB answer (NOT COUNTED TOWARDS THE MIN WORD COUNT) with two questions that they want another student to address in a 2nd thread/response.
