answer question on the short reading 500-1000 words
In this piece, Weber is discussing the relationship between capitalism, the Protestant work ethic, and what he calls the spirit of capitalism. Central to this idea is “the calling” or the idea that everyone has a duty to carry out God’s will in their everyday work and lives. Toward the end of the excerpt you read, Weber describes the “iron cage.” What is the iron cage (in your own words) and what is the relationship between the calling, capitalism, and the iron cage?
Please make sure this is your own work – plagiarism will result in an automatic zero. Responses must be 500-1000 words and include references from the reading in ASA format.
