Six Sigma uses a model of DMAIC that refers to a data-driven quality strategy for improving
processes and is an essential part of a healthcare organizations use of Six Sigma Quality.
DMAIC is an acronym for five interconnected phases: Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and
Control.  The use of this tool enables the project team to outline the important steps which
increases the project success rate.
