California is gigantic in every respect. It covers an amazing amount and diversity of terrain, contains a dizzying number of people with an array of ethnicities and beliefs, and represents one of the largest economies on the earth. Further, we are not all liberals in this state and in fact have a substantial population who votes conservative. Its wide diversity, geographic scale, costs, political mix, and virtually every other facet of the state is unlike anywhere else in the United States. As such, is California ungovernable? Why or why not?
