We have talked about how–and why–the makers of Gladiator have altered historical details in their presentation of the story of the gladiator Maximus. Indeed, this has been a theme throughout the course: we have addressed similar concerns with Troy, 300, and other films as well. This is your chance to have a go at rewriting history: your assignment is to rewrite the plot of one of the movies we have seen this semester, and then, in a separate paragraph, articulate why you made the changes you did. You need not necessarily change historical facts; but you must change the plot of one of the movies we have discussed. Be creative! This should be at least a little bit fun!
