Steps:

Open Excel to create a new workbook.

Enter the following information in cells A1 – C8. Do not copy and paste. Remember to save your file.

Name Location # of Units Sold J Smith West Palm Beach 50 B Doe Boca Raton 110 S Spade Jupiter 200 F Zappa Boyton Beach 1400 K Paul Riviera Beach 2300 PJ Crews Gulf Stream 150 R Shaw Lantana 75

Ensure that all the information is visible within the column boundaries. This will require you to resize columns.

Add two new column labels to the right of the current columns; Unit Price and Total Sales. (They will be in columns D and E.)

The Unit Price is 12, so enter that value for all rows in Column D.

Click in cell E9, calculate the sum of E2 though E8. You will type in a formula like this into the cell E9:

=SUM(E2:E8)

Press the Enter key. (Be sure to begin the formula with an equal sign). Remember to save your file.Change columns D and E to currency type so that the dollar sign is shown. There is an icon to quickly format the selected column as currency type.

Ensure that the data is all visible within the column boundaries. Make the columns wider if needed.

Center the data in all the cells (A1-E8) using the Center tool in the Alignment group on the Home Tab.

Add a border to all of the cells (A1-E8) using the Borders tool in the Fonts group on the Home Tab.

Bold the data in row 1, the column headings (ensure that the data all remains visible within the column boundaries). Remember to save your file.

Change the font color for row 1 to Blue.

Save the workbook.
