Week 6 Assignment: Critique a Plan
Assume that you have either been hired as a consultant to a local or regional agency, or are a member of the agency that drew the plan you analyzed in the previous assignment. Now it is time to sell this plan to the public, legislative (budget) authority, and executive authority. To do that, you must construct an easily understandable and presentable statement of WHY your plan alteration should be adopted, and in the event of funding issues, why it should be financed. You must be prepared to directly sell it to the public, and legislative and executive authorities. Revisit the plan you analyzed in the previous assignment. In a paper, respond to the following:
- Determination of the clientele or public being impacted,
- Analysis of planning options in the current environment,
- Determination of funding issues,
- Summary of your findings of the analysis of the prior plan and how you propose to correct those weaknesses.
Support your paper with a minimum of five (5) scholarly resources. In addition to these specified resources, other appropriate scholarly resources, including older articles, may be included.
Length: 5-7 pages not including title and reference pages
Your paper should demonstrate thoughtful consideration of the ideas and concepts that are presented in the course and provide new thoughts and insights relating directly to this topic. Your response should reflect scholarly writing and current APA standards. Be sure to adhere to Northcentral University’s Academic Integrity Policy.
