World War I was a mechanized war. Each nation used new technology to improve their success on the battlefield, and centered their economies on developing weaponry for battle. This concept of “total war” impacted the entire nation, not just the soldiers on the battlefield.

Conduct research about one of the new types of warfare. Based on your research, discuss how it was made and how it affected the enemy.
