Discussion on CH 4 & 5

Chapter 4 is a discussion on how 3 minority groups became outsiders from U.S. society. What happened to them in the early part of U.S. history? How did this set the stage for segregation and civil rights? What happened to these communities in the long term? Discuss how these questions fit chapter 1-3 and chapters 4 and 5. In other words, what would the chapters say if they could talk to you. What would be your reaction and thoughts? Share these thoughts with your class colleagues for this discussion assignment.
