Poverty traps are defined as mechanisms which makes it very difficult for people to escape poverty. A poverty trap is created when an economic system requires a significant amount of various forms of capital in order to earn enough to escape poverty. You will research the Poverty Trap that you have chosen and investigate the realities of this trap. Look into the economic consequences of “services” targeting people in poverty or with little to no resources. Students will select the poverty trap that you will focus on. You can write an essay or create a PowerPoint presentation. You will need to identify the poverty trap that you have selected, explain why it is a poverty trap and then share how to alleviate your chosen poverty trap.
