For this week, you are to choose an experimental film, a documentary, or an animated film to watch and put TWO posts into the discussion board:

1.) In 150 words or more, write about the filmmaker’s style. In the critique, explain why you think that the film you watched unmistakably bears the stylistic signatures of the filmmaker. If you do not think that there is a discernible style, explain why not.

2.) Also, please provide a 50-plus word response to a peer in class about their choice.

Between the two posts, you will be posting a MINIMUM total of 200 words for the week. However, be aware that you must meet the MINIMUM for each post. Do not do a post that is under the word count and then attempt to make up the difference in word count in the other post (e.g. 125 words on the first post and then 75 words on the reply to a peer).

As usual, please add an accurate word count. Remember that spelling, grammar (including italicizing film titles), and quality of content are also contributing factors to your grade.

By the way, I want to introduce you to a wonderful online resource – it is a website dedicated to experimental film and video called ubu.com that holds an extensive catalog of strange and interesting alternative film and video.
