Grand Canyon University Family Member Having a Stroke Discussion

I agree that it can become a big strain emotionally and financially on the family to figure out how to deal with a family member having a stroke. Especially if that person was the main person in the family bringing in the income and then trying to find the right resources for them. It’s hard enough to deal with the emotional grief of the stroke but also the stress of finances. I remember as a nursing student I saw a patient that had a stroke and got into a car accident. They didn’t know if he had the stroke and then crashed or the other way around. He was able to understand and nod to questions but was not able to speak an get his thought across.
