Grand Canyon University Running a Healthcare Organization Discussion Response

***Comment this ***

For about 6 months, my unit was without a director. We have 2 assistant directors so they had to step in and take over the duties and responsibilites of the director position. Every nurse on the unit noticed the lack of leadership since our assistant directors were tied up in other things such as meetings and mandatory responsibilities. Having the adequate leadership team makes a huge difference in nurse satisfaction and retention of nurses. I do think nurses are revenue generators due to the fact that they are the ones who are in direct patient care. If a patient does not like their nurse or there is conflict between the two, they will give the organization a bad satisfaction score, in turn, not receiving all the funding they should.
