Grand Canyon University Urinary Incontinence Discussion
***Comment this***
It is a very nice post with in-depth discussion about elimination complexity! Incontinence, for example, is not life-threatening, but it causes great inconvenience to the patient’s life and more importantly can be a huge strike on the patient’s self-image and psychological health. It is always difficult for a person to accept the loss of his/her basic living capabilities and/or independency. Even families may have difficulty to fully acknowledge the impact of the illness. People are always happy to see babies growing and gaining life skills but often forget that aging and losing life skills are a natural part of life too. Therefore, emotional and psychological support to patient with elimination complexity is an extremely important component in the nursing care.
