HGTC American Culture Values Traditions and Customs Worksheet

In this week’s lecture over culture, we discussed how scholars recognize that individuals possess multiple identities. These identities assert different aspects of themselves in diverse social and cultural contexts. We also considered how identities are dynamic, fluid and, sometimes, even contradictory.

Fill out the attached Culture Reflection Worksheet, where you will encounter twelve different identity designations (e.g. class, gender, national, etc.). Remember that this is a personal reflection, so please use these identity labels while seeking to describe your own complex social identity. Write at least two sentences for each identity heading.
