Familiarize yourself with the Library of Congress’s collections on the presidential elections of 1856 and 1860. Locate one primary source to consider when watching Professor Blum’s video on Political Parties of the 1850s.

For your project, you will use data from the Presidential Elections of 1856 and 1860 to plan a political campaign. You will create a Party Platform and an agenda for your candidates.

First, select which election you will focus upon. Second, create a name for the new and unique political party you will create.

2)Write one paragraph of trends within the primary sources for the election year you selected. 200 words

3)Create a distinct Party Platform for your election year and party. It must contain at least five key points and no more than fifteen. Do NOT simply reprint or slightly alter the actual party platforms from the age. Try to write the platform in language similar to that of the 1850s
