In this module, we learned about the history of operations management, and how it has changed since its early days as scientific management. This assignment will give you an opportunity to focus on the history and development on a specific topic area of operations management.
- Choose one of the following topic areas within operations management (systems thinking, knowledge-based management, project management).
- Prepare a brief timeline or presentation discussing the development of that topic area over time within the field of operations management.
- You may use PowerPoint, Prezi, or a Word document to create your presentation/timeline. Whichever format you choose, make sure to provide a detailed discussion about each stage of the development of that topic area.
