Human roles, such as father/mother, husband/wife, sister/brother play an important role in the versions of justice displayed in the texts we have read so far. How does the personal context of individuals influence their relationships to justice, whether divine or human? You might consider some of the following: Does being a mother matter more than being a father in determining characters’ relationship to justice in these stories? How are women’s relationships to justice different than men’s? How does the notion of citizen or follower (in religious terms) dictate the ways in which people relate to codes of justice?
