MCC Double Standards in Men and Womens Sexuality Paper
topic to be over the double standards between men and women sexuality and how this affect infidelity in relationships, research how the world views men and women who are considered hypersexual through many partners, why is it ok for men to have multiple partners but not women and is this a cause for infidelity in relationships.
Over the course of the semester, we will be discussing many different aspects of the sociology of sexuality in the US and abroad. Pick one of those aspects (such as something involving social movements based on sexuality, discrimination based on sexuality, the intersection of sexuality and other socially salient categories, etc.) or two or more inter-related aspects (almost everything is inter-related to some degree) and construct a research question you would be interested in exploring. You will then do outside scholarly research (such as looking up articles on JSTOR) to answer your research question. Each paper should use at least 10 scholarly sources either from academic journals or book presses.
FORMAT: The paper must be 10-12 double-spaced pages of text. The font must be 12-point Times New Roman with 1-inch margins (the default margins setting in Word) on all sides. You must include a cover-page that will have all identifying information on it (your name, the date, what class you are taking, the title of your paper, and a copy of my approval e-mail- any format is acceptable for the cover-page as long as the relevant information is all included) and the first page after the cover-page should begin at the top of the page and should not include anything but the text of your paper. You must also include a reference page. It is plagiarism to turn in a paper without a reference page. The reference page and cover-page do NOT count as part of the page count. In-text citations and the reference page must be in ASA format (you can find how to do this here: https://owl.purdue.edu/owl/research_and_citation/asa_style/in_text_citation_references.html).
