San Diego State University Dolores Huerta Discussion

The public person chosen for this assignment is Dolores Huerta.

Learn about a public person (who I would be able to look up) who has at least three marginalized identities (e.g., a Latina woman with a disability, or a gay, Black, immigrant man). Explain how the intersection of those identities (also called “positionality”) enabled this person to produce what they have in the world.

To turn in here:

1. The name of the person you’re learning about.

2. Which three identities you’re examining.

3. 300-325 words telling me about this person. Provide some of their story or context of who they are and what they’ve done.

4. 200-250 words describing how those identities worked together and positioned this person be who they are and to accomplish the work they did. (Be sure to integrate a grand theory into this portion.)
