SOCO 125 San Diego City College Sociology Question
You will complete a sociologically minded paper
that analyzes some of the themes of this class and requires the application of terms
from this course. This paper must be 12-point font, double-spaced, 4 pages minimum,
using class terminology and ASA style in-text citation with a matching references
page. You must use a minimum three academic and sociological sources.
Be sure to
include an examination of how relevant statuses such as gender, sex, race, class,
ability, religion, sexual orientation and/or culture/era affect the individual characters
and consequently the family as a group. You will be required to choose ONE movie
from the listed films below (or propose your own suggestion of a full-length film,
which requires instructor approval). I have chosen these films because they offer and
intersectional view of family life and cover a wide range of individual statuses and
family types.
