Addresses the materials in this unit on building civil society and the problems of inequality (due to race, gender, and class differences).
Readings, emphasized are Chapters 7 & 8 (as well as Chapter 6) in Chirico.

ESSAY: WHAT ARE TWO MAIN GOALS FOR GENDER EQUALITY, GLOBALLY?
Identify the PROBLEMS that challenge the goals that you chose, listing at least 10, and describing the problems.
Identify the STRATEGIES that people collectively might do in order to remedy the problems, so that the goals are met. (List at least 10 for the problems above). Describe these in terms of the actions of Civil Society groups (like those meeting at the UN March 6-17) to address the Digitall access goals for all women/girls, globally).
Conclude with your ideas about the most important strategy for bringing social change that meets the GOALs. How would you participate? What would be the changes and consequences?
