Complete the following activities and submit them on Canvas before the beginning of class time Friday April 7.

  1. On your own or in small groups, discuss the 4 tools for seeing privilege and apply them to gender inequality. Pick two of the tools and come up with an example for each related to gender inequality (it should not be an example that I discuss in the video). Write about a paragraph describing each example, which tool it is an example of and why.
  1. On the last slide there is a list of historical dates and milestones related to gender in the US. Pick 2 that stand out to you. Look them up online (Wikipedia is fine). Write about a paragraph for each one you selected telling me which one you selected, why it stood out to you, and what you learned when you looked it up. Include the link URL where you found information.
  1. Review the material for the Check In part of Project 2 (on slides and in instructions). Write about 1 paragraph telling me what you need to do (this will vary depending on your role in the group). Send an email/text/message to your group Coordinator to find out when they need you to submit your materials to them for inclusion. Tell me what the deadline is to get your material to the coordinator (if you are the coordinator, tell me what deadline you set for your group members).

All three activities can be typed on the same document. If you work with others, tell me the names of everyone who worked together. This is worth 10 points and will count as an in-class activity.
