the bad image radiology department

Carefully read The Bad Image Radiology Department, Case # 15, located on page 231, in your Cases in Health Services Management (5th ed.) book and respond to the following questions.

  1. Provide an analysis of the key issues presented throughout the case? In performing this analysis, it is important to remain focused on the relevant concepts associated organizational behavior and leadership.
  2. Prepare a time line of major events in the case. Determine the points at which interventions by hospital administration or the board might have prevented the problems in medical imaging from developing as they did. For each intervention point, outline the intervention that you think should have been undertaken and provide supporting rationale.
  3. What is the role of hospital executives in monitoring quality and intervening, as needed, in the delivery and or quality of clinical services?

The students are expected to carefully read the assigned case study, and then thoroughly and explicitly address each component of case study questions (see below). Caution: Students should NOT complete the questions in the case book on pages 243 and 244. The responses should reflect higher level cognitive processing (analysis, synthesis, and evaluation), which is essential for someone being prepared to serve in an operational capacity within the healthcare and related industry. There is no minimum number of references that need to be utilized to support the completion of this assignment; however, it is generally understood that any good case study analysis will incorporate the appropriate quality and quantity of scholarly sources to support any suppositions and recommendations. The submission will not exceed four (4) pages in length, excluding the title and references pages. The document must adhere to the APA writing style. Finally, the document should be prepared as a Microsoft Word document and uploaded under the correct unit assignment page
