The Service Economy:
We have looked at the way Arkansas has evolved. It could be argued that it is traditionalist and perhaps slow to change. I feel that the state is full of contrast and in some ways it can be very progressive. In chapter 14 of Arkansas: A Narrative History Jeannie Whayne discusses how the politics of state effect the economy.
I would like you to discuss how the late twentieth century politics helped shaped the economy. What are some of the largest industries in Arkansas? Could they have survived and grown in any other state?
TEACH ANNOUNCEMENTS :Yesterday our learning unit examining the Service Economy opened. I think the prompts are fairly self explanatory. The assignment is a blog entry and you do not need to comment on other posts.
