UCIRVINE Global Inequality Discussion

This week we’ve looked at the social problems that are faced on a global scale.  In particular, scholars have drawn attention to global assembly lines and the ways in which environmental, political, and gender hierarchies contribute to inequalities in them.

Post a picture about and describe an environmental, political, or gender characteristic that shapes the power structure in a global assembly line.  To clarify, on the global scale, countries are tied to one-another in the production of products that are sold in the market (This is quite evident with regard to the country’s supply chain issues that have hit many industries).  So, choose an issue that is related to the global assembly line and explain how it impacts our social world.  Then comment on how issues related to the environment, politics, or gender are connected to the global assembly line pattern you are posting about?
