In this course, we will cover a wide variety of environmental hazards that impact human health.The topics we will cover are not unique to our class – they are happening every day and impacting our lives. 

For this assignment, you will need to find one article published within the last 6 months related to the Air Pollution or Waste Management.

You may use only credible news sources including the following:

  • Time.com
  • USA Today
  • The New York Times
  • Cnn.com
  • Any other local news sources (ex. LEX18, WKYT, Lexington Herald Leader, etc.)
  • You MAY NOT use articles on entertainment/Gossip websites.

You will read the entire article and write a 150-200 word response including the following:

  • Summarize the article – Who, what, when & where
  • Reflection (choose 1 or 2)
    • How does this relate to environmental health?
    • How is this event important to me?
    • How is this important to others?
    • Does it impact a specific group of people/things? How?
    • Does it have a global impact?
    • Does the article present a problem? Are there any possible solutions to the problem?
