Additionally, this video talks about the effects of ads in a scholarly study and talks about the two perspectives of the effects of drug ads.

Think about your own experiences viewing similar ads (give a specific example of one if you can) on television and billboards, and answer the following:

• How do such ads affect your health choices? 
• What other effects, if any do these ads have on you and your family? 
• How might functionalists, conflict theorists, and symbolic interactionists explain these ads?
