1.Considering the different theories and concepts in Chapters 1, 2, 3, and 4, how would you characterize the kind of organization you want to spend most of your career working in? And what are your communication expectations for your future workplace? Explain and apply concepts from one or more of the first four chapters to identify and describe features of the kind of organization in which you wish to invest significant time and energy. 2.Ch. 1 discusses major challenges facing organizations today that are continually changing the way organizations function and communicate. Included among these are the ongoing challenges posed by globalization and terrorism. However, few researchers or scholars predicted that most of our workplaces would be suddenly, drastically, and at least temporarily changed, by the terror of a global pandemic. Integrating text concepts into your own experience and observation, describe and discuss the ways in which an organization you are familiar with is changing how it functions and communicates due to the pandemic. Be specific and give examples of changes, and discuss the possible long term impacts of these changes on the organization’s functioning and culture.

3.Five years from now you’re working in a fairly large organization and just learned the new manager of your division is a strong proponent of the Human Relations/Resources Approaches. Discuss one of the major theorists in Ch. 3 whom you would want to have influenced your new manager, and why. Identify and explain the specific theorist, and discuss the expectations you have for your future work environment based on the theorist’s ideas, including the types of communication you will experience with your new manager and your co-workers.
