PSY 246A Colorado Christian University Psychology Identity Mind Map
For this assignment, you will be creating a mind map to visually represent your identity formation from adolescence to the present time. To begin your mind map, select one word that best defines your adolescence—this word will be at the center of your map. You will then branch off from this word with the feelings, behaviors, or thoughts that stemmed from this word to lead you in forming your identity (at least two of each—i.e., two feelings, two thoughts, two behaviors you experienced) and at least three describing words or further detail for each of these branches. Please also include in your map words or phrases connected to each item that indicate how these items have been influenced by your faith development. For instance, if “anxiety” is an item, the concept of “peace that passes all understanding” could be connected to this item as a part of your faith development. Connect a faith development word or phrase to each branch in your map. Be creative with this assignment by using visual indications of more or less significant words (e.g., using larger fonts, bold letters, images, etc.) throughout your map. This assignment may be done electronically or by hand, but if done by hand, must be scanned as a PDF file to be uploaded to Blackboard.
