Assignment:

Create a PowerPoint presentation highlighting one free, consumer-directed mobile health application or wearable device stated to help improve chronic health issues or population health management. Using guidance found in readings this week and the Health IT Safety Center recommendations diagram in Chapter 25 as the framework for consideration, determine appropriateness of the selected application for healthcare use. Include any concerns regarding the veracity or value of information provided, the privacy and ownership of the data collected by the application or device, and any liability issues or potential consequences if the data collected is integrated into an EHR for consumption in healthcare decision making.

Search for and retrieve three quantitative or outcomes-based research articles related to the previously selected NSI. Articles should suggest and support evidence-based practices or practice-based evidence shown to decrease the incidence of negative patient care outcomes.

Review articles and highlight specific sections supporting point a) for use in the signature assignment. Submit to dropbox.

Assignment Expectations:

Length: 10 – 12 slides (inclusive of title and reference slides)

Structure: Create a PowerPoint presentation with speaker notes that provide the detail and include title and reference slides in APA style. Use a separate slide for each of the underlined areas in the assignment description.

References: Use the appropriate APA style in-text citations and references for all resources utilized to answer the questions. Include at least three (3) scholarly sources to support your claims.
