Section 1)
Share two goals you are creating for yourself in your Individual Internship Plan based on your current awareness of your own professional identity development.
Identify any cultural considerations and/or needs that you would like for your Faculty Supervisor and colleagues to know, or take into account, during your Faculty Group Supervision calls.
Section 2:
The Individual Internship Plan assists you with setting professional development goals for growth during your field experience. The identified growth areas are the Ten Key Professional Dispositions. At the beginning of each quarter, you will rate yourself again on each of the Key Professional Dispositions, and then share it with your Site Supervisor and seek their input as you develop at least one goal for the three dispositions you rated lowest.
- Complete the Cultural Competence Assessment and the Professional Practice Assessment to self-assess your development to this point. The assessments are available in the Week 1 Learning Resources: Required Readings of this course.
- Reflect on how you responded to the self-assessments and what type of reactions you had to the questions.
- Discuss your impressions with your site supervisor.
- Develop the professional disposition goals and objectives that you would like to target in your field experience for your three lowest areas.
