For the final project, write a 5-7 page (1250-1750 word) paper in which you discuss how poverty is represented in at least one of the four films analyzed in this class. You are free to choose the focus of your paper. Ideas include but are not limited to: characterization, location/ setting, fantasy versus reality. Your paper must, however, focus on both the content and at least one filmic techniques employed in at least one scene from your chosen film(s).
While you paper can be slightly informal–I am most concerned about your ideas and conclusions–the paper should still present a clear thesis and topic sentences, provide evidence from the films that support the thesis and topic sentences, and employ film terminology accurately and effectively. In addition, you must use evidence from at least one reading on film (from modules 3 and/or 3) and one reading on poverty, culture, and/or diversity (from module 2) to support your assertions.
MLA or APA formatting and citation style should be used.
